In the summer of 2000,
St. Hilaire, the agent who imports Chantelle from France, held a
contest for the best window featuring the "Devine" bra
style. The prize was a trip to Paris and a tour of the Chantelle
Factory. We came in second across Canada.
Don't feel too sorry for us however. We went to Paris
on our own the next spring and Chantelle arranged for us to take
the grand tour of their factory in the champagne producing area
just outside Paris.
It was very interesting, and gave us new insights
and a better appreciation of their quality product. Did you know
it takes 30 pieces to construct one bra, and each garment goes through
a team of 15 women, each woman performing one step of the operation?
Our hosts were very gracious, also treating us to
lunch and a tour of one of the local champagne houses
