Seminars - The Art of Bra Fitting

More than 70% of women wear the wrong size bra? That so many women have difficulty determining their correct bra size is a significant point when you consider that a bra is like a shoe, because if it doesn't fit right it is uncomfortable and not very healthy.

This is why we started presenting our seminars.

Many factors go into determining whether a bra fits properly. Most women have never been fitted properly in the first place and very few have a clear understanding of the concept of bra sizing. Others might not realize their bra size has changed with changes in their weight, or as they grow older. Many prescribed medications cause changes in the breasts and the body.

We have presented our seminars to dozens of women's groups ranging in size from 10 to over 200 women. Some of the organizations we have addressed include:

   - Continuing Education Programs in four Winnipeg School Districts
   - The Health and Wellness Expo,
   - Beta Sigma Phi National Conference
   - Numerous Y Neighbors groups
   - Victoria General Hospital nurses
   - The Breast Health Centre
   - The Youville Centre Mothers and Daughters Group
   - Several Streamliners Clubs

Sharon has also appeared speaking on this topic on national television on the WTN Network, Cable 11 Cityscape with Marcy Markusa, and CJOB radio.

The topics we cover include:

   - The importance of a proper fitting bra
   - What to look for when trying to determine if a bra fits properly
   - Common problems and possible solutions
   - The strengths and weaknesses of the various makes and styles that are available.

Wheelchair Access and Home Visits  

We do everything we can to make our services more accessible to elderly and disabled women. Wheelchair parking and a ramp are located at the back of the building and we even have a wheelchair available for our customers' use.

Home visits can be arranged when necessary. There is a nominal charge of $20.00 to help cover some of the staff time and travel costs. Call for details.
